NUCLEAR: the position of Professor Margherita Hack do not like it!

It is supposed to send them into space "deep", but where? And above all, how? With ships like the Space Shuttle? One is reminded of the catastrophic accidents that involved two of these means. With other, more advanced? First we need to invent them. The real problem, Hack itself admits, however, is cost. Even now, after all, the U.S. Department of Energy estimates that the cost of electricity with nuclear power in 2020 (the date on which should start operating the first nuclear power plant according to the Italian government programs) is higher than that of all other sources, including wind power. Adding the costs of the hypothetical disposal "spatial" waste, would lead to values \u200b\u200b... really stellar! From "Green Paper on energy efficiency," prepared and disseminated by the European Commission, however, we learn that "the total cost of producing a kilowatt hour of electricity is about twice the cost of saving a kilowatt hour." In addition, the Green Paper states that equal investment, that create energy efficiency by three to four times more jobs than the construction of nuclear or conventional.
